2008 Spring Product Sale

Dear Girl Scout Families,

Welcome to the 2008 Spring Product Sale sponsored by Ashdon Farms and QSP/Reader’s Digest.  Through this program, Girl Scout families can support their daughter’s troop as well as their council by renewing their favorite magazines, subscribing to new ones, purchasing books, CD’s and ordering nuts and chocolate. 

 

Step 1 - Magazines:

§         Friends and family can order or renew favorite magazines

§         Can also order music & books 

§         Complete order form                 (see example on envelope)

§         Give pink copy of order form to customer

§         Invoice will come by mail

§         Your daughter’s troop will earn 20% for every subscription sold

Step 2 - Address Booklet:

§         Easy way for out of town family & friends to participate 

§         Complete address booklet with names and addresses

§         We do the original mailing and one reminder mailing

§         No one becomes part of mailing list

§         Your daughter’s troop will earn $2.50 for a completed address booklet

Step 3 - Nuts & Chocolate:

§         Order your favorite nut & chocolate items

§         Write customer information on the order taker

§         Collect money when you deliver product

§         Your daughter’s troop will earn 20% for every nut/chocolate item sold and $1.00 for every cookbook sold

COLLECT MONEY for nuts & chocolate orders when you deliver the product

DO NOT COLLECT money for magazines…invoice will come by mail for magazine orders

For those interested in selling, we will have a Sales Training at the Girl Scout Service Center on Saturday, February 9 from 11 am to 1 pm.  Come hungry as lunch will be served and you will have an opportunity to sample all of the products available.  For more information about the sale or to RSVP for training, please contact Sally Egan at 800-787-2688 x307 or via email at sally-snow@centurytel.net.

Feb. 9, 2008	Spring Product Sales Training at the Girl Scout Service Center at 11 am
Feb. 9-15, 2008	Pick up sales info from the Council Service Center
Feb. 15 – March 9, 2008	Girls selling cookbooks and candy
Mar. 10, 2008	Orders due to Troop/Group Leader or Candy Sale Manager
Mar. 12, 2008	Orders and paperwork due to Council Service Center
Mar. 26-28, 2008	Cookbooks, Candy, and awards sent directly to leaders/candy managers
Mar. 28 – Apr. 13, 2008	Girls deliver cookbooks and candy
Apr. 14, 2008	Money due to Troop/Group Leader or Candy Sale Manager
Apr. 16, 2008	Money/paperwork due to Council Service Center

Spring Product Sale Recognition Awards: 

Motivate your girls to sell more!  Recognitions are cumulative.  Any combination of magazines, music, address book, nut & chocolate orders sold counts as an item for earning recognitions.  Exception: 1 Cookbook = 3 items.  Girl’s choose either receiving the recognitions OR earning 10% of the sales ($1 per cookbook) in camp credit and no recognitions.

Sell 15 Items: Dolphin Necklace

Sell 25 Items: Fiber Optic Light plus Dolphin Patch

Sell 45 Items: CD Certificate

Sell 60 Items: Dolphin Seal T-shirt

Sell 80 Items: Glitter Light Up Clock Shuffle

Sell 100 Items: 24” Giant Plush Seal plus Super Seller Patch

Address Booklet Special: Turn in your completed Address Booklet and receive the 7-Color Light Up Pen & TYM Patch

Reader’s Digest: Every time you sell a Reader’s Digest, you receive your own Game with FM Scan Radio.
